INS CS2 Settings: Sensitivity, Crosshair & Setup

INS plays CS2 for FlyQuest. The last sensitivity INS published — in INS's own Nightbot !sens command (last edited Apr 2024) — was 1.2 sens at 800 DPI, an eDPI of 960. It may be outdated. INS sensitivity

The last value INS published was 1.2 in-game sensitivity at 800 DPI, giving an eDPI of 960 and a cm/360 of 43.3 cm. To match this in your own setup: set your DPI to 800 in your mouse software (Razer Synapse, Logitech G HUB, etc.) and 1.2 in Counter-Strike 2.

In CS2, open Settings → Game → Crosshair, click Share or Import and paste the share code. Or copy the console export into your developer console or autoexec.cfg for permanence. You can also load this preset directly into our Crosshair Generator and tweak it before exporting.

How to copy INS’s settings

    Set your mouse DPI

    Open your mouse software and set DPI to 800. This is the hardware multiplier — DPI changes apply across all games.

    Set in-game sensitivity to 1.2

    In Counter-Strike 2 settings, set sensitivity to 1.2. Your eDPI now matches INS’s (960).

    Apply INS's crosshair

    Import the share code above in the crosshair settings, or paste the cl_crosshair* block into your CS2 developer console or autoexec.cfg.

    Train muscle memory

    Settings are starting points, not magic. Spend at least an hour in deathmatch or aim trainers (KovaaK’s, Aim Lab) at the new sens before judging it.
